St. Francois Mtns, Southeast Missouri. The conglomerate on top is half a billion years old (0.5 Ga), while the volcanic rhyolite below is about 1.5 Ga, and the dark dike is a bit younger.

Both difficult and amazing to think that the Being who watched this happen cares about me.
